Freedom Of Information

The Freedom of Information Act 2014 provides that individuals are entitled to apply for access to information held in records that are not otherwise publically available to them.

The Freedom of Information Act provides individuals with the following rights:

  • The right to access information held by public bodies;
  • The right to have official records containing personal information relating to them amended where it is incomplete, incorrect or misleading;
  • The right to obtain reasons for decisions affecting them taken by a public body

If you would like to exercise your rights under the FOI Act, please click on How to Make a Request on the menu bar.

This website makes available a range of information about LIT through the Model Publication Scheme. We also publish a disclosure log providing details of FOI requests processed by LIT since 2015.
